Dad's surgery was quick and painless (at least for those of us waiting on him at the hospital). He was in the OR for around 45 minutes before the doctor came out to visit with us. He did well and will remain for a day or so to make sure he's ready to go home. The plan will then be for him to get a good start on healing before the chemotherapy begins in a number of weeks.

Surgery is over
Dad's surgery was quick and painless (at least for those of us waiting on him at the hospital). He was in the OR for around 45 minutes before the doctor came out to visit with us. He did well and will remain for a day or so to make sure he's ready to go home. The plan will then be for him to get a good start on healing before the chemotherapy begins in a number of weeks.

Glad to hear it went well. I'm sure chemo is no fun to look forward to but I guess it's all part of the process. I'll keep praying.
