KU Orientation

So Austin and I spent the last two days as prisoners at the University of Kansas. It seems they refer to it as orientation, while Aus and I tend to think of it as torture. Nothing like spending two entire days listening to people tell you (complete with power point presentations) what the paperwork in your orientation folder says. Great news for those in the world who can't read, but really, should those people be heading off to college anyway? So we sat and sat and listened to scholars with PHDs blather on and on about this and that making sure to end the two day ordeal with information on "how to pay KU". Don't want to leave that out, eh? Unfortunately, this was just one of those things you have to do. Kind of like going to the dentist. Nobody wants to go, but it you don't your teeth fall out. You know, kind of like that. Well, we're home now and Austin is enrolled. The dorm room has been secured. Unless lightning strikes him between now and August 12th, he's officially a Jayhawk.

Rock Chalk, Austin!! Sounds like you're ready to roll. Orientation done and your parents socked for the remains of their checking account, right?

You kids always make me so proud. Have a great time and don't work too hard!
